Position Summary

As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee residential remodeling and renovation projects from start to finish. You will lead the job site, coordinate daily activities, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest level of craftsmanship.

This position is ideal for a motivated, self-directed carpenter with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and extensive experience in both rough and finish carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential remodeling, renovation, and addition projects.
• Perform high-quality rough and finish carpentry.
• Supervise and mentor carpenters while coordinating subcontractors.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate progress with the Production Manager.
• Order and manage project materials as needed.
• Ensure projects meet company quality standards and exceed client expectations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
• Resolve field issues efficiently while keeping projects on schedule.
• Deliver exceptional craftsmanship on every project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of residential carpentry experience required.
• Proven experience leading remodeling or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, and residential construction methods.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a crew.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Complete set of personal hand tools, cordless tools, and essential power tools.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) is preferred.

• Complete rough and finish carpentry with attention to detail.
• Assist with demolition, framing, trim installation, cabinetry, siding, doors, windows, and other carpentry tasks.
• Follow construction drawings, specifications, and project instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Work efficiently to help projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and properly.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, subcontractors, and homeowners.
• Deliver exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism on every project.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and jobsite rules.
